24 Hour VOLLEYTHON

SATURDAY MAY 5th, 2012 9 am – Sunday MAY 6th, 2012 9 am

This year will be VOLLEYFROG Florida Club’s first annual Volley-Thon.  Our Volley-Thon is a fun and exciting way for our kids to reach personal set goals while raising money for our Non-Profit organization.  It is important for parents to help our players set realistic goals based on the age and development of our players.  A variety of prizes and refreshments will be provided during the event.  Each player will receive a token of participation to show our gratitude for their efforts.

Why a Volley-Thon!?  Fundraising is better when everyone can participate and help make a difference.  Our goal is to help raise at least $20,000 to fund scholarships to underprivileged youth, support our facility (equipment & flooring), to run more tournaments, camps, and training in the sport of volleyball.  We hope that each family will participate in the Volley-Thon to the best of your ability.  If each family raises a minimum of $200.00, we will achieve our goal, and hopefully exceed our goal.  We’re hoping to make this first Volley-Thon the best ever, so please know that ANYONE can participate in fundraising like parents, friends and siblings. Please help and promote this event with your friends, family, and co-workers! Thank you very much for your participation in our 24-hour VOLLEY-THON of pure fun and volleyball!!

Rules:
Players must start collecting pledges as soon as they receive the pledge sheets.  Reminder: Pledge sheets need to be turned in on Volley-Thon day (Saturday May 5).
Pledges may be made by anyone.  Remember: please do not ask VOLLEYFROG Florida Club staff.  Please ask everyone who pledges if their company has a matching gift fund policy.  Remind companies also if they pledge a certain amount, they are eligible for advertisement space in the Frog House.  (See Corporate Pledge Sheet attached)
Each sponsor making a pledge should write their own name, pledge per ½ hour, maximum pledge or direct donation amount.  Players may collect the pledge in advance. Please turn in all money at ONE TIME to help the fundraising committee.
Upon completion of the Volley-Thon, players will hand in their amount of time played.  A volunteer will record each player’s time total on their pledge sheet and return it.  Players may then collect outstanding pledges.  Please return pledge sheet with the money to VOLLEYFROG Florida Club by Monday May 14
